The Omega Chapter is a memorial Chapter for all Brothers of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. who are no longer with us on this earth. Although Brothers are no longer with us, we honor their contributions, their legacies, and memories remain with us.
#76 Brother Juan-Carlos "Chiron" Perez
Brother Juan Carlos Perez was an incredible example of how to embody all aspects of the pillars and truly live Creed. Born in Chicago his sense of Patriotism took him to different parts of world as he enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he spent 8 years in different combat zones. After fulfilling his obligations he was Honorably discharged and returned to Chicago to begin his academic career. While enrolled at DePaul University to pursue a degree in medicine Juan Carlos joined many groups on campus. He was an advocate for Veterans, a dancer and on March 5th, 2016 Brother Chiron became an official member of ΣΛΒ. Keeping an already busy collegiate schedule Brother Chiron worked as an EMT and volunteered as an LSC representative at Reilly Elementary. Brother Chiron was beloved by many and his loss is difficult but for those fortunate to have known him are grateful and better to have. RIP Brother Chiron.
